Upright pianos
The keyboard lid is locked, the body wrapped in moving blankets and moved on a padded board or dolly.
Grand and baby grand pianos
Legs and pedal lyre are removed, and the body is placed on its side on a piano board and strapped.
Staircases and small lifts
Staircase width, turns and lift size are measured during the survey before we quote, so there are no surprises on the day.
After the move
Pianos usually need re-tuning once they settle into a new room. Call a piano tuner after a week or two.
